Farmers going to the Mahapanchayat clashed with the police on the Ghaziabad-Delhi border. The farmers were going to join the panchayat in support of the wrestlers sitting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The police stopped the farmers, due to which the angry farmers sat on a dharna and started creating ruckus. The police somehow handled the situation. On the other hand, Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, who reached the border, said, till the wrestlers arrested in Delhi are not released, the farmers will not get up from the Ghazipur border.
Rakesh Tikait said, there were attempts to stop us on the way at various places. The police and the government are doing the work of Hitler royal. Vehicles have been deployed at various places. Farmers have been put under house arrest in many places. If no arrest has been made in any case before today, then if the police gives it in writing, we will not proceed further. If it is not so, then Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh should also be arrested.
Rakesh Tikait said, the post of the President is the highest. The President should have inaugurated the Parliament House. A big movement will be launched before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Tikait said, our movement was successful. Because the farmers were put under house arrest inside their homes. Only one group of farmers has been able to reach Ghazipur border.
